Banana Puri

1/2 cup slashed banana; 1/2 cup sugar; 1 tablespoon ghee or butter; 1/8 teaspoon crushed cardamom powder; salt to taste; 3 tablespoons coarsely ground almonds; ¾ cup whole-wheat flour; ¾ cup all purpose flour; Oil to fry.


Mix well the mashed banana with sugar, almond, cardamom, salt, and butter. Add wheat flour and all-purpose flour or maida to the banana mix and make a smooth dough. Keep it aside for about 2 hours. Grease your fingers and knead the dough and divide into four equal parts. Roll and cut them in about 2 diameters by using a cookie cutter. Heat the oil in a frying pan and if the oil is ready put pieces of dough. Puries will puff and fry them till they get dark brown color. Take the purses out over a paper towel, therefore, it can absorb the extra oil.

Bread Dahi vada


Bread Dahi vada is an instant version of dal lentil vada. Bread Dahi Vada only takes 20 minutes to prepare.


10 slices of white bread and 2 tabs oil


3 tablespoons shredded coconut; 1/4 teaspoon salt; 2 teaspoons ginger (finely chopped); 2 teaspoons green chili (finely chopped); 2 teaspoons sliced almonds.


For preparing fillers, mix all the ingredients: coconut, ginger, salt, almonds, and green chili. Cut the bread slices into rounds and lightly wet one side of the bread. Put 2 spoons of filling in the center and fold the bread forming semi-circle. Seal the edges by pressing two edges together with your fingers.

Brush the both sides of vandals lightly with oil, and toast them in toaster or oven until it will get the light golden brown. Now bread Dahi vada is ready and serves it with yogurt.

Fruit Chaat


Fruit chaat is a refreshing and colorful snacks item and it can also serve as part of our lunch. It is a delicious way of eating fresh and seasonal fruits. You can try it with any variety of fruits.


2 oranges sliced in a ½ inch; 1 apple peeled and cut into ½ inch pieces; 1 banana sliced into ¼ inch rounds; 1/2 cup sliced papaya; 1 cup Asian cucumber cubed into ¼ inch pieces; 1 green chili (finely chopped); 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves.

Serving ingredients:

1 tsp lemon juice; 1 tsp ginger juice; 1 tsp roasted cumin seed powder; 1 Tsp salt; 1 Tsp sugar; ¼ Tsp black pepper.


Combine all the fruits with coriander leaves and green chili. Then mix all the serving ingredients in a bowl and pour it over the fruits.
